If you could be anything else in the world, what would you be? Author Lisa Russell explores this idea in her delightful tales of Sam, The Farm Puppy. Sam is an inquisitive Border collie puppy who feels that life would be better if he were one of the other animals on the farm. Sam tries to fulfill the roles of the other animals but, of course, is unsuccessful in his search for greener pastures. By the end of the book, he learns he already exists in green pastures. The Farm Puppy will draw the reader into Sam's world through the detailed illustrations as well as the story.
